PART 1: SLEEPING GIANT OF ISLAM… AWAKENS: 9/18/16

INTRODUCTION: It seems that most people are vaguely aware that there is trouble over there somewhere… maybe in the Middle East? Some sort of religious struggle, maybe? But, I’m not that interested in knowing what’s up. It doesn’t involve me!

Little wonder Christians are being beheaded and others immolated or burned alive without a major outcry from the world at large. So many are self-absorbed with their own lives and social media, that is, until they are personally impact…

However, we are being impact, perhaps ever so subtly, but a graphic in the Wall Street Journal indicates that although Christianity is growing, Islam is growing faster and may be equal by 2050. Tragically, where Islam is growing most explosively… is here in the U.S. Note, by nearly 200%.

Therefore, that Christians are being brutalized and murdered over there, does surely matter. Why is it happening? Hopefully these studies may help us understand the basis of the barbarity and how it may all end.

First: ISLAM’S HISTORICAL JIHAD & HIBERNATION: Number 1 in the series of 4:      THE SLEEPING GIANT OF ISLAM AWAKENS.

After Jesus went back to heaven, the early Christians, many of whom were slaves, were very successful in evangelizing their world, the Roman Empire. History tells us that this empire split into two parts. The Western Roman Empire was headquartered in Rome, Italy. The Eastern Roman Empire’s headquarters were located in Constantinople, today called Istanbul, Turkey. As this portion of the Roman Empire, known as the Byzantine Empire was slowly dying; the Religiopolitical Caliphate of Islam was developing in the Arabian Desert. SUDDENLY, Arab warriors BURST out of the desert and devastated the Christian churches across North Africa and the Middle East. This First JIHAD was finally stopped by World War 1, in 1914. Then the Muslim Giant, humiliated, went into hibernation.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Early Christians took the Gt. Commission very seriously. The Roman Empire was largely evangelized. Some say by 50%! There were at least 30 million Christians among 60 million populations. Churches were planted all across Europe and North Africa, Egypt and the Levant or Fertile Crescent, including Arabia.

Historically, the Roman Empire with capitol in Rome split, with the eastern half being called the Byzantine Empire, headquartered in Constantinople. Then, in 1054 the Eastern Orthodox Church, headquartered in Constantinople, split from the Catholic Church in Rome, over theological issues. Then within the Orthodox Church, Nestorianism, which had been planted in Arabia, became a heresy which essentially taught that Jesus was only the ‘God Bearer’, not God, very God. They further taught that to worship Christ, one must also worship his mother. This teaching Mohammed rightly understood was IDOLATRY, because he was already frustrated with Arabian tribal idolatry! He reacted radically and determined that Allah, his god, had no likeness. He was ‘Wholly Other. He had No Son.

Over the years the Byzantine Empire slowly died. Its largest church called ’Hagia Sophia’ or Holy Wisdom also fell on hard times spiritually. It would be overrun by the Jihadists and made into a mosque, then a museum, as it is today.

ISLAM TRACES IT HISTORY TO ABRAHAM

Genesis 17:15-22 “God said, I will make him [Ishmael] fruitful and greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him a great nation”

Genesis 21:13 “I will make the son of the maidservant into a nation…” V18 “I will make him into a GREAT NATION”.

Mohammed is believed to be in the direct lineage of Ishmael through his father Abdullah. Mohammed was orphaned at the age of 6, and went to live with his grandfather, who also died. After being passed among others, he grew up and became a camel caravan driver. He worked for a rich widow, Khadijah, a Nestorian Christian who married him. Her uncle was bishop of the Nestorian Church in Mecca, Mohammed’s teacher.

Having married wealth, he now had time to meditate. During these times of deep soul searching, he came to understand that he was sent to purify the religion of the Jews, by being the last of their prophets. He further determined that Monotheism of the Jews was correct; therefore, he must cleanse the Kaaba of its 359 other idols… leaving only the ‘Black Stone’ of Allah, the god of his Quraish Tribe.

This cleansing of the Kaaba was unacceptable to the leaders of the Meccan Tribe, whose income was dependent on the offerings of the Arabian Tribesmen who visited their shrine, the Kaaba. Therefore, they expulsed Mohammed, who fled in 622 to Yuthrub. He now is Tribe less, a major tragedy. This event, called the Hegira or ‘flight’, established year 1 in Islam. In Yuthrub he became the mayor and was accepted by three Jewish Tribes. However, Mohammed is still fixated on revenging his expulsion from the Quraish Tribe. He becomes a Rebel Chief and raises a gang of brigands to destroy the Meccan Camel Caravan trade. He was successful and returning to Mecca, cleansed the Kaaba and was reinstated in the Tribe. At this point Mohammed is content with tribal allegiance in the Arabian Peninsula.

However, in Yuthrub which he renames Medina, there is trouble. The Jewish tribes are discontent with his knowledge of Jewish history. He taught that Ishmael was the son Abraham sought to sacrifice. The Jews saw this as heresy and reject him as an imposter. Therefore, Mohammed incited the murder of all three tribes.

Mohammed was faithful to Khadijah who bore him several children. Tragically all but a daughter, Fatima, died and then Khadijah his wife also died. This seemed to demoralize Mohammed, for whom death always seemed to be lurking, a horrible enemy. He retaliated by marring numerous others, including a child of his friend, Abu Bakr. He later died in Aisha’s arms in 632, leaving no indication of who should be heir or Caliph of the Muslim Ummah.

MOHAMMED’S UNTIMELY DEATH

Muslim trace their history to 2000 BC and Abraham. Mohammed, in the lineage of Ishmael conquers the tribes of Arabia and then dies without a designated leader for the Ummah. This tragedy nearly unravels the fragile Muslim Ummah [community]. The community divides into two warring parties: the Sunnis who want the new Caliph [follower] to be chosen by consensus. The Shias wanted a family member to be the new Caliph. The Sunnis won out and the first 4 caliphs were called the Rashadun or Rightly Guided Ones. Whatever guidance there was, three were murdered. Finally the 12^th Imam, a Shiite, went into ‘occlusion’ or hiding. It is this 12^th Imam who the Shiite Iranians want to cause enough world turmoil for this Imam to return from hiding and turn the whole world into a Muslim Ummah.

Following Mohammed’s death, the Arabian Tribes returned to their gods. The RASHADUN had to reconvert the Arabian tribes. This being accomplished, they were ready to keep on doing Jihad.

ISLAMIC JIHADISTS BURST OUT OF ARABIA

The Arabs burst forth into Palestine and built the Dome of the Rock on the old Jewish Temple site. They jihaded across North Africa destroying the ancient Christian center of Alexandria and Christian Churches as the pincer moved into Spain, the Western Headquarters for the Islamic Empire. Finally this Western Pincer was stopped in Tours, France, Western Europe, by Charles Martel in 732, only 100 yrs after Mohammed’s death.

The Northern Pincer captured Hagia Sophia, the largest Christian church in Constantinople, and was stopped in Eastern Europe, at Vienna, Austria.

The Eastern Pincer moved across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan to the Indus River in India, and finally into Indonesia, much of it via trader movement.

The headquarters of the Eastern Muslim Empire shifted through the years from Spain to Baghdad in Iraq. In India, it was the Mogul Empire. In Iran it was the SAFAVID Empire. In Turkey it was the Ottoman Empire. It was the Ottomans who canceled the Caliphate. Finally the Muslim Empire of many centuries was finally destroyed by World War 1, in 1914.

COLONIALISM CARVES UP MOSLEM WORLD… ISLAM HIBERNATES

The French, Italians and British parcel out the Ottoman Empire lands among them and establish national boundaries, which did not exist. Thus humiliated, the Muslim peoples go into hibernation and lick their wounds… ultimately defeated. Allah had forsaken them. They angrily submitted to the Infidels who they hated for ruling Muslim lands. ALL IS LOST!

ISRAEL: BECOMES THE EPICENTER CENTER OF THE MOSLEM WORLD AND TARGET OF THEIR UNMITIGATED HATRED FOR OCCUPYING MUSLIM  LANDS.
