12. CELLULAR WORLD OF MAN

BY GOD’S OMNIPOTENT GRACE

BY DR. EARL PARVIN, 9/15/21

GERM CELL

From ONE oocyte impregnated GERM CELL BY A SPERM CELL, my mother became pregnant, thanks to my father. Nine months later I was born and started a journey to adulthood. By that time, due to God’s architectural skills, that oocyte totipotent cell [able to become any of 200 different kinds of cells] was capable of becoming any one of HUNDREDS of types of cells and thousands of sub types of Adult pluripotent T-cells [able to become SOME other types of cells] which were becoming some 60 trillion CELLS, that is I [me]!  Amazingly, I still have some of those same cells at 91. But most of the 200 types of cells in my body and thousands of sub types have replaced themselves many times over on a regular schedule as old worn out cells. They have automatically committed “apoptosis” [suicide], and the dead cells were cleared away by Phagocyte cells which eat them as programed by the Master Architect, God.  How much of this marvelous genius can I by God’s grace comprehend? I am still working on trying to understand DNA the Master’s Library of how these operating systems called machines work and on what schedule. Further questions are: 1. how do the cells communicate with each other, and 2. How do they know where to go on location in the body? 3. How does a cell know which organ to become?

SCRIPTURE [Reference to the cell]

Let us start our journey with reference first to the Master’s Owner’s Manual [Bible], Psalm 139:13-18 and Job 10:8-11, and then by research learn some of what has been discovered by observation of reality.

Job 10:8-11

KJV Psalm 139:13-16 twce
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

NIV Psalm 139:13-16 twice
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
“Your hands [God’s] shaped me and made me. Will you now turn and destroy me?Remember that you molded me like clay. Will you now turn me to dust again?10 Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese, 11 clothe me with skin and flesh and knit me together with bones and sinews? 12 You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.” Did you notice that phrase “knit me together”? It appears again in Psalm 139…twice. I wondered why?

First of all we learn from the Bible that my mother and father had the power of procreation which had been given to them by God. [that understanding comes from Gen. 1:28 where God told Adam & Eve “be fruitful and increase in number.” Also God told Eve {Gen 3:16} after they sinned, “I will increase your pains in childbearing”. God must have given them power to sexually reproduce].  I know that because I read that God had shaped and made me, by molding me like a potter molds clay into whatever shape He pleases and clothed me with skin & flesh. [all are protein cells as are all 60 trillion cells]

In the creation account [Gen. 1:26] we read, Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness,” and then He explains [Gen 2:7] 7” Then the Lord God formed a man[a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” So, Job was right. God did “form man” as a potter shapes clay. God used “the dust of the ground” which is a lifeless material; therefore, it says He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” so man was now a LIVING being; therefore, he was able to pass on that life principle by his living cells such as his sperm cell impregnating the oocyte cell which now becomes a zygote cell and developing embryo. An amazing fact that is not well known, is that at the moment of fertilization in the woman’s body there are “zinc sparks” that take place, “LIGHT MARKS THE CREATION OF NEW LIFE.” [To the source 5/21/16].

CELL MULTIPLCATION

Within 4 days that one oocyte 2 cell became a cluster of 150 cells. In 3 weeks that cluster of cells had developed a placenta and attached itself to my mother’s uterine wall. Why? My mother’s and my blood dare not mix. My mother’s immune system would destroy my blood as an intruder. The first organ my body built was a heart “fold” and cardiovascular delivery system. My heart began to beat at 6 weeks. Each of the 60 trillion cells my body was building would need nutrients from my blood from hers. So also would the millions of chemical reactions per second. That is another story.

STUDYING CELL BIOLOGY

Studying biology and the Word of God, I am able to put some things in perspective. I am able to exercise my own world view which guides me to this understanding that God is the Star Character in my life. He had everything to do with the creation of the cosmos or galactic world as well as the atomic or biological world and still does! Therefore, the Evolutionary Theory and timeline will be judged in that light. It fails to offer any solid scientifically valid proof or observational truth; therefore, it can only present shaky “faith” [definition; requires no verification] premises, of a wish list of “hope so, I wish it to be so”, not scientific facts or observable facts. The premise of billions of years just will not pass muster in either the Galactic World, of observation especially the elliptical galaxies, [they would spin out in billions of years ] or the present study of the DNA directed bio cellular world [it is on a precise, limited, exact time frame with so many actions taking place either sequentially or even simultaneously].

Only life can beget life. Only a living cell can produce another living cell and that on a very precise, accurate schedule as directed by DNA which is resident in most cells. The oocyte with which I began this journey was available to my mother because she was born with all of the 300,000 ovarian follicles or cells which her right or left ovary matured alternately each on a monthly schedule all her reproductive life. She received that power as a member of the human race through Adam & Eve.

KNIT TOGETHER

A second observation comes to mind from Job’s and the Psalmists’ passages.  The words “knit me together” are an astute statement of fact of course because the very Hebrew words chosen were directed by the Holy Spirit [2 Peter 1:21]. The Hebrew words [sooch, sasak & sacam] each conveyed ideas which possibly even the writers may not have fully comprehend at that time. Such as details which later were more fully understood by biological research. At least I am able to teach much more accurately about my own cellular construction by my wonderful Creator.  I know more fully who I am.

At least I can imagine the translators scrambled for the exact nuance of meaning for those words marked [prim. root] in the lexicon which is explained in the opening meaning a ‘primitive’ root. There are illustrations of variant renderings of the word; therefore, the context must be referenced to see what fits the narrative. May I give an illustration for the Hebrew word “sooch” translated “fenced me’ [KJ or “knit me” [NIV]. The Hebrew Lexicon [BDB] suggests these options:  hedge, fence, protection. The word is only used 3 times. I believe it is telling me something about the cell being a very secure protected place. I will soon explain further.

Consider the second Hebrew word “sakak” translated “knit together.” The KJ translated it “covered me”. The Hebrew options were: entwine as a screen, fence in, cover, protect, or weave. The word chosen perhaps intimates several cells or parts [organelles]are working together seamlessly to put me together. Is it not interesting that in the context the location is given where that action is taking place, in the womb.

Thirdly the term “racam” is translated “woven together”. The options are: variegated color, embroider, needlework, fabricate, curiously work. This term leads the mind to perceive something is happening very curios, special, very particularly artful. In the image of the Divine! [Gen 1:26-27].

I can now marvel at Job’s and the Psalmist’s ability under the influence of the Holy Spirit to accurately express the miracle of procreation. They had so many options to convey vital truth in detail which I in the 21st Century was able to verify by observation at what takes place accurately “to be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth” [Gen.1:22,28 +]. I am delighted to verify that I am more than a “role of the dice spontaneous result of stardust gathering” as I was told in high school about abiogenesis, but rather the conscious work of a planned weaver or the skilled hands of a potter or the thoughtful, colorful stitching of my mother as she planned for her soon arrival. The NIV authors graciously wrote, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully [or Godly] and wonderfully made;” [Ps 139:13,14]. And “16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; [embryo]”.

SELF- REPLICATING CELL

My mother and father were very godly parents, but very much commoners. They bore two very different siblings and had very little understanding of what was taking place in mother’s body [or even in his] to bring two children into being through knowledge of molecular biology. Nearly 8 billion residents of this world have made a similar entrance into this world likewise. Each one was a majestic work of art by THE Divine Architect, who designed the intricate details of the 9 months process and on the first try. Each person is distinctly different as witnessed by the surface proteins of the cell membrane and from the very same original DNA. Let us take a brief look at that one living CELL which by Architectural Genius becomes 60 trillion in the average adult. Remember. That cell is a marvel of “microminiaturization…operating at a nanotechnological level” [Sherwin] only God could pull that off!

The self-replicating cell in the human body is a spectacular work of art by the Greatest Artist, Elohim God. It is important to remind ourselves that God has already prepared the building materials from which the cell is constructed. It too is a miraculous substance with a significant name, ”protein” which is Greek meaning “first”. It is constructed by a miraculous means of 22 amino acids which are synthesized under the instructions of 256 genes which must first be translated into what is called the Central Dogma. That Dogma is “DNA must be transcribed into RNA, and then translated into protein.” There are 1 to 3 billion proteins per human cell. Each one folded very precisely according to its function to make a self-contained system in a cell which is designed to be independent also interconnected to other cells and biological networks.

CHEMISTRY TO BIOLOGY

It is important to recognize that the amino acids used to make protein [some proteins require 100s of amino acids] and all the other elements were all prepared by God and known as atoms. In fact the human body is made up of atoms…100 trillion per cell of which we have noted there are 60 trillion cells… Why is that important? The science of chemistry is the combining or mixing of those atoms as chemicals, each chemical having a different number of atoms. Every cell in my body and yours can be said to be a superb efficient series of chemical factories which are taking orders from the DNA resident in each cell as designed by our omnipotent loving Elohim God. I am thrilled to be personally acquainted with Him by faith. It is true that we marvel in wonderment in visualizing Him more fully by “that which He has made” [Rom 1:20].

God designed that pluripotent oocyte cell whereby I began this journey nearly a century ago. It is an impossible possibility for that cell to self-assemble itself from nonliving chemicals to BIOlogy. [the study of life]. It required two individuals of two different sexes of the same human species, completely without their knowledge, that their bodies would produce “haploid” cells containg half of their chromosomes to be united into a “diploid cell” with a full complement of 64 chromosomes called a “secondary oocyte” cell. This procedure of uniting or combining chromosomes gives the new person traits from both parents. Making this union possible requires that through amazing maneuvers a “diploid cell” must divide its 46 chromosomes into identical halves twice. Only God could engineer that operation, which He did through His designed “mitosis spindle” said to be the “most amazing machine ever designed”.

COMPLEXITY OF CELLULAR LIFE

Taking a simplified look at the complex structure of most cells of the 200 different kinds of cells in the human body, will hopefully give us a glimpse of how much more marvelous is our God. A summary statement of that whole process could be “Cells forms tissues, tissues form organs, organs form organ systems, and organ systems make organisms.” [BYJU] There are 78 organs all cooperating seamlessly in a body. We only shall wonder at God’s superb basic unit in the building of the human body, the “simple” cell which turns out to be amazingly otherwise.

We note that the self-replicating cell itself requires the instructions of 600 genes to construct it out of thousands of proteins. So much for the “simple one-celled prokaryotic protozoa called amoeba”. Furthermore the proteins will be homochiral and left-handed as well. [That is another story]. I might remind us, that this self-replicating cell with all its internal functioning parts did not take “deep time” to produce because God said [to the Trinity] let us make man…and they did [Gen 5:1, Ps 104:24, Is 45:12]. I conclude that Abiogenesis of a cell is impossible.

The name cell was given because it is an enclosure in which are several cooperating, functioning structures [biochemical factories] called organelles which form tissues on the microscopic level. Each of these factories is located in a liquid substance called cytoplasm which fills the cell. Cytoplasm is a jelly-like fluid which carries nutrients to the organelles. [Remember what Job said above in chapter 10 verse 10 that he was “poured out like milk and curdled like cheese?” I was reminded of the fluid cytoplasm of the cell and the organelles floating like curdled cheese. It was those organelles that provided the skin & flesh as well as the bones & sinews out of protein.]

MITOCHDRIA ORGANELLE

First, a cell has its own power source for its factories the “Mitochondria Organelles”. [These factories can be numbered in the thousands to fuel muscle cells for instance]. Mitochondria are double bound by its own membrane within the cell’s membrane. The membrane is very much a traffic cop for most items going and coming must be accompanied by a transporter protein. The inner folds of the surface of the cell are called “cristae” where the power is made chemically in this powerhouse. That power is called “ATP” short for “adenosine triphosphate” an advanced electro biochemically high energy source. Other functions of this organelle are help with cell division, growth, and cell death called apoptosis. Cell signaling is another function which is amazing. It is programed to sense its environment and respond in various ways.

Amazingly this organelle has its own genome as circular DNA called mitochondrial DNA. This mtDNA is only inherited from the mother. [The fact of this organelle having its own DNA within a cellular DNA, suggests to the evolutionist that this organelle originally had a parent cell which was engulfed]. I’m certain that God had a better reason for this action like having the factory to have its own genes ready for power as needed!

PLASMA MEMBRANE

The second characteristic of a eukaryotic [human or animal] cell is a “phospholipid” plasma, semipermeable double “Membrane Organelle” enclosing a nucleus and organelles. It is semipermeable to protect the cell, acting as a cell wall controlling the flow of chemicals and nutrients in or out of the cell, such as factory materials needed or riding of waste products. The plasma membrane is made up of lipids [fats] and 2000 proteins, many of which may also be located in several locations in the cell. The membrane also has proteins embedded through it as a portal and for signaling other cells.  The membrane is dynamic, self-adjusting to various cellular and chemical requirements as the need develops. It is an amazing part of the cell’s responsibilities as it helps the efficiency of the organelles in their organized micro domains. Another responsibility is that of extracellular relationships and communication. The surface of the cell membrane is a major source of cell communication not only between cells but with any of the organs of the entire body. Membranes use 2/3 of the body’s total proteins which may be more than 2 million variants. Note, there are only 23,000 gene-coding genes; therefore, they are very efficient in gene-splicing. Another anomaly is in the process of gene-coding using TRIPPLE “codons”. When the coding was done it was discovered there were four layers of coding.

Note, only membranes can reproduce membranes. Each cell exercises metabolism in its organelles & structure. The actual shape of the cell is the important determining factor in the building of the very different organs of the body. For instance the nerve cell, dendrite, is pyramidal, the red blood cell is donut-shaped, the white phagocyte cell is hollow as its name implies. Other shapes include prisms & 6-sides.

The double layers of the plasma membrane are held together by magnetic ‘tails’ facing each other on the hydrophilic ‘heads’ making up the two surfaces. See if you can envision that!

NUCLEUS ORGANELLE

Let us be reminded that the cell size is but the minuscule size of the dot on the letter “i”, for now we are going to tour some other thirteen or so inner chemical factories [organelles] of these microscopic chemical workshops. The largest room is the Nucleus Organelle. It is home to the DNA library which is the information center. A mere 12% of the 6 foot long strand of carefully and very specifically folded double helix chain of information is for one, the coding of the 2000 proteins produced as needed for the cell itself plus up to 3 billion other proteins used in the whole body. Second, the rest of the non-coding [coding is for protein] DNA is information for the human genome which is stored in the 46 chromosomes and 6 billion base pairs of DNA. This genome also controls gene regulation. Gene regulation is needed for protein production as well as for the design of each individual.  The gene is either on or off acting like a transistor.

RIBOSOME ORGANELLES

However protein cannot be produced in the nucleus but must be made in the “Ribosome Organelles” or “molecular micro-machines” located in the main part of the cell cytoplasm in the thousands. The ribosomes are produced in the nucleosome in the nucleus. To make this action possible, the DNA must be unzipped, transcribed and translated into another language “mRNA” [messenger RNA] for transport out of the nucleus and to the ribosome organelles. In these factories all the kinds of proteins are produced out of 20 different amino acids and moved to another factory for further action. Note this process of getting from DNA to RNA to Protein chemical formulas demand that all three languages must be present simultaneously for decoding and production. They are coactive.

The ribosome is a double code reader to make the protein. It must read instructions for the amino acids from the mRNA for which protein it is making and pausing at intervals during manufacture to allow the protein to be folded precisely. That pausing is accomplished by reading the codon signals. Wow, what a Code Writer!

MICROTUBULE ORGANELLE

Let us pause and note this movement of materials intracellular to the organelles in the cytoplasmic medium. Throughout the cytoplasm are “Microtubule Organelle”metabolic highways made of tubulin protein filaments. They can be 50 micrometers in length crisscrossing the cell. Along these highways travel on demand two different kinds of molecular motors. These motors move in different directions at lightning speeds as numerous enzymes direct these “actin, protein networks”. These designed networks can be linear, branched or circular as well as interconnected. Other motors can be added as the zygote grows and other cells are added for a fetus at 26 weeks of cell division. The two kinds of molecular motors are made of myosin protein for muscle building and kinesin protein. Each of these motors has two “arms” to carry product and two “feet” to walk on the microtubule highway. Note. Enzyme proteins are involved in over 5000 chemical processes. Movement of materials can be on these highways, or by cilia [hair like], or flagella [as on sperm]. [Actual biological micro electric flagellum motors rotating up to 17,000 rpm on one-celled bacteria is another study. Someone has quipped it is "the most efficient machine in the universe"]. Cilia are utilized on many different organs of the body working as sweepers cleaning passageways or moving various liquids and acting as sensors.

Whole cells can move along these microtubule highways as the network grows. How all of this takes place is still undergoing investigation. It is called Multi-Dynein Protein Molecular Motor Domain. It involves a lot of power to make these organs move into their permanent home.

ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM ORGANELLE

In the “Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum Organelle” further modification of the protein is made into thousands of sub kinds of proteins needed in the body which are self-assembled.

SMOOTH ENDOPLASMIC RETICLUM ORGANELLE

Next door to the Rough Endoplasmic Factory is the Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum Office Building. It controls the operations in all carbohydrate metabolism and steroid production for efficiency and regulation of quality control. Perfection is necessary at every level.

GOLGI APPARATUS ORGANELLE

Then the immature protein is moved into the “Golgi Apparatus Organelle” for further logistical work needed outside the cell where ultimately hundreds of thousands of different kinds of proteins will be needed which must be precisely folded in a three-dimensional structure.

SECRETORY VESICAL ORGANELLE

And finally the matured protein is packaged for transport in the “Secretory Vesicle Organelle” to its destination.

LYSOSOME ORGANELLE

The cell will always have metabolic waste which the Lysosome will manage via digestive enzymes which it will empty into the Vacuole Organelle.

VACUOLE ORGANELLE

This factory-storage building isolates any product not needed or is problematic to the cell. The phagocytes are white cells in the blood, for instance, are called on to police the body of intruders and captivate by engulfing them and taking them to the vacuole for enzymatic disposal. This organelle does many other complicated things like sensing water needs of the bodies metabolic activities.

PEROXISOME ORGANELLE

The peroxisome plant provides a “variety of specifically designed oxidizing enzymes for many detoxifying operations.” [Tomkins]

The life of a cell is programed by an internal “biological clock” sometimes called the circadian rhythms. For instance a red blood cell works so hard that it must be retired after only 3 months. We have stated that Nuclear DNA programs for the making of protein and included in that same DNA is the entwined coding for the human genome. The genome is stored in our chromosomes. A part of that structure are segments called “telomere proteins” which protect the DNA filament from fragmenting and are shortened each time the cell divides until there are no more segments and that signals apoptosis or sell death. This whole process is called the “cell cycle” which involves cell growth, cell division [mitosis] and cell death.

CELL REPLIFICATION

That which is left to consider is the masterful part of cell replication. Not only did God provide the principal of life to His created inanimate human beings [Gen 1:27], inanimate vegetation [Gen 1:11]. Inanimate air & sea creatures [v. 20], inanimate animal kinds [v. 24-25] but also universal asexual or sexual procreation  [v.22]. The life principal belonged only to God as man is discovering as endless failures at seeking to “break the code” so carefully hidden with the various kinds. They think it is only a matter of time until it is discovered, but time, even deep time is not their revealer.

CELL REPLICATION MITOSIS

Cell replication detail is only partially understood. They know exactly the detailed chemical formulas…but it lacks one factor…life. Let us observe some little bit about the process of cell replication. The process is called Mitosis. Take note of all the organelles involved. We must see an exact duplication of everything contained in the cell. This includes the nucleus with its DNA. The intricate details of the human genome and its 46 chromosomes, and the many organelles. Enough already! Now here comes the genius of the Mitotic Spindle. Everything has been duplicated and it is time to divide the cell. The spindle is likened to a series of ropes [tubes] that are attached to the duplicated material. The problem is what do we attach the other end of the spindle ropes? That is no problem, we must find the Centrosomes which are located on opposite sides of the dividing cell to attach the other ends of the spindle ropes, so the ropes can pull the divided material into two parts of the cells. Centrosomes are organizing centers for centrioles with both being organelles. Interesting, centrioles are also made of several sets of triplet strands of tubulin protein formed into a microtubule. There are mother and daughter microtubules which are stationed perpendicular to each other to act as stationary points for the “spindle microtubules” to be anchored.

I hasten to add that we have in another article approached the topic of genomic development of the cellular personage as presented in the double helix half of Nuclear DNA which is the non-coding part. In this article we looked at the cell structure, producing protein coding half of nuclear DNA. I did season this paper with references to my own cellular genesis. Please forgive my levity.

CELL DIVERSIFICATION

If we return again to that oocite2 cell of my mother which was dividing into the 60 billion of an adult, it had to know what cell to become, called diversification. When the cell determined which cell type it would become it became fixed to that type. It would always reproduce itself as itself as preprogramed by God. Cells reproduce cells. BUT MOTHER’S OOCITE CELL HAD TO BECOME OTHER TYPES OF CELLS TOO. That was designed by God for that type cell as a totipotent cell to do that as a baby, not as an adult. [But scientists try to turn back the clock of the cell anyway.

Further as a diversified organ cell it can produce some T-CELLS which are called pluripotent cells which can produce other type cells than itself, but within bounds set by God. They are only made during fetal development.

Now may I further draw some parallels starting in Genesis chapter 1. We are introduced to God, the Elohim, as God the Father as Architect and His Son Jesus as Builder and the Holy Spirit as Energizer.  The Architect determines to engineer a cosmos to include a series of planets, one of which is to be inhabited. He draws plans first for a Space to put it which is called heaven in verse 1. He then proceeds to provide the building materials for His Son which are called “earth” in that same verse. Those materials it appears in verse 2 [earth or elements] were placed in water [Hebrew word “deep”] the universal solution. I would suggest the elements were in suspension or solution. Note the elements or building blocks were “atoms”.

When the Son finishes building the cosmos the Trinity of the Elohim build the man in their image verse 26. Note, the analogy of Elohim as the ARCHITECT now becomes the CHEMIST. The Table of Elements as ATOMS now become CHEMICALS. The “deep” is now H2O. The man is constructed from the dust of the ground from building materials called cells into which they breath the breath of life into the finished product=person Adam. You may already remembered that man is also made of 100 trillion atoms per cell as well as chemicals.

Also note as God had to create space for His cosmos so space was needed for me to develop. By my forth day my cells were diversifying. Within a week I had an ectoderm around my liquid home for the next 9 months being attached to mother’s uterine wall for my livelihood through the placenta. Each of these stages  required a variety of diversified cells along the weeks. They are provided by three “germ” layers of cells which will become cells forming “organs”.

The largest organ of the body is the skin which covers the outside of the body protecting it. The thickest cells are on the hands & feet. Otherwise skin is about the thickness of two dimes. The thousands of epithelial cells making up skin replaces itself about once a month. Epithelial cells are packed close together and “hinged” together with gaps in the hinge to allow nutrients to pass between. These cells in our skin are many stratified layers. As top layers die new cells work their way up to replace them each month.

SUMMARY

So here I am the programmed result of a single cell becoming 60 trillion after 91 wonderful years of serving the Master. What a journey it has been. Most of those old cells have replaced themselves on their own preprogrammed schedules.  Programed? Yes! God engineered? From the very beginning! I have witnessed his protection through a childhood disease that ended sadly for a same age cousin. Then I survived an appendectomy and tonsillectomy. Lastly I proved that this cellular body is still under the protective hand of God in surviving a stroke, a pacemaker implant, stents and cellular reprogramming through plasticity. It is true, you can teach an “old dog new tricks” if he is willing by therapy and seemingly endless hard work regain some of what was lost to the muscular structure. We only glimpsed at the basic cellular structure of the average cell.

There is so much more to say. God’s intricate design of the cell and its compounding is endless. The design features are much like features displayed as “Fractal”. Much of what I have written I have gleaned from others.  Like the brain cells capacity currently is 2.5 petabytes. Thanks Dr. Tomkins and verified on the Net.

The chemical journey to biology I have gleaned from Tan and Stadler’s book “The Stairway To Life” [2020]. The new director. Dr. Guliuzza, of the “Institute for Creation Research” in Dallas, is planning to produce a new text book for Biology from a Christian viewpoint. Dr.Jeffrey Thomkins’ The Design & Complexity of the CELL is invaluable.

I also learned much from Dr. Ham, of “Answers In Genesis” in Kentucky and his writers.

It is wonderful to learn more and more about how wonderful THOU art.

1.      A recent study has determined how efficient the metabolism of man is through his lifetime from 20 and 60. [Pontzer 8/12/21] Now is that not exactly what we would expect of God’s workmanship. Our bodies have been designed by Omnipotence to be self-regulating, self-adjusting to changing environments [epigenetics] and self-healing which was marred by the Adamic nature. Those characteristics were misread by Darwin as evidence for evolution, revealing his own reaction to his negative experience as a seminary student and Noah-like odyssey to the Galapagos Islands and journey.

I would further remind us that scientists are so bent on creating life that it is far too easy for them to “read in” to God’s marvelous creation what they want it to imply. For instance I just read an article entitled, “Blockchains Act Like DNA IN tHE cELL”. He continues with a subtitle, “A New Analogy for “Life”. His speculation is that DNA  SELF-ORGANIZES itself in chromosomes even as blockchains SELF-ORGANIZE. “That is what drives biological evolution”. No, No self-organizing. God designed DNA that way and blockchain was designed to do what it does.  [Lia De La Cruze, EarthSky].

2.      Another article caught my attention entitled, ‘Researchers Develop “Nanopore-Tal” Technology That Enables Cells To Talk to Computers”.  Research is discovering fascinating things about God’s creation which they want to call Evolution. Regardless of what they call it they have discovered a protein dubbed NanoporeTER with “charged tails” [fluorescence] which can be read as an interface between the cell and a computer. They say it acts like a lighthouse leading to the problem. Wow, we believe that God does the healing by using scientists discovering how God’s worn out body part are supposed to work.

3.       Later research reported in Journal of Cell Biology of Rockefeller University Press entitled “Cell Biology of Fertilization: Gamete Attachment & Fertilization.”  When I started this study with my opening sentence, little did I realize the struggle a sperm had to penetrate the oocyte to start the processes necessary to form a diploid zygote cell which would become me! Note the process includes: [just to get started] “acrosome reaction, zona pellucida penetration, sperm–egg attachment, and membrane fusion.”  Now if you want to know what these terms mean, you can look them up as I did. It is most revealing to me as they said, “many of the steps in fertilization remain a mystery.”

4.       Another study [9/9/21] on the design of the DNA and its chromosomal “Hubs” wrapped around the chromatin in three dimensionally is minutely organized. How the DNA is folded helps determine which genes are turned on or off. The exciting part about these cells which are being made is that the DNA which is the same in all cell’s nucleus has different chromosomal hubs designed for that kind of cell! That makes it more efficient to do its special work with the right genes turned on or being expressed! What wonderful design.

5.       These amazing designed created cells were able to “stick together in exquisite ways”  to make organs like a heart or hands from over  thousands of types of cells. These cells can “grow” with the organism as I explained in the opening lines of this study where one cell becomes 60,000. The cell’s ability to grow, expand & change shape is the design of the “fluid-like Double Plasma Membrane.” That is an amazing design feature of the cell. Not only in the cell’s diversity, but plasticity. God’s marvelous cell design makes this diversity possible by making the cell capable of producing 100,000 proteins which can be mathematically placed on the surface of the cell. That procedure makes each cell unique. This may give one some understanding of how this is possible that everyone ever born has the same 6 foot of DNA. God put two copies of DNA in most cells as instructions! [Blood is excepted for carrying more OXYGEN.

6.       LIFE? What is life? Interesting question. We know who is the life-giver. The book of Genesis makes that abundantly clear…God breathed into them the breath of life. [Gen 2:7]. Life is said to be in the blood [Lev 17:11]. Scriptures speak of animal life but not of vegetable [Job 39:8]. Scientists only speak of cellular life as “the building blocks of life”. Cells only come from cells.
